SIGN-UPS SET EARLY SELL-OUT FOR UCLA GOLF CLASSIC – COACHES ALFORD AND MAZZONE JOIN OTHER VIPs

Dana Point, CA UCLA Golf Classic sign-ups have set a record pace, resulting in an early sell-out of May’s event.  With the two-day event taking place May 8 – 9, 2014, golfers, sponsors and fellow UCLA supporters are responding to this rare opportunity to golf, dine and socialize with Head Coach Steve Alford, Offensive Coordinator Noel Mazzone and a host of legendary Bruin athletes and coaches.

Now in its fourteenth year, the UCLA Golf Classic is introducing an entirely new venue, the nationally acclaimed, Five-Star, Five-Diamond, St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort and Golf Links, and a stay-n-play format with discounted overnight rates for event participants.  While the tournament centers on Bruin camaraderie, the UCLA Golf Classic is vital to the world-class University for which it raises funds.  Orange County’s largest Bruin fundraiser supports the student scholars and student athletes of today and the campus of tomorrow.

In addition to golfing on one of just two oceanfront courses in Orange County, supporters will enjoy networking and dinner, plus live and silent auctions with such UCLA greats as Rafer Johnson, Kris Farris and Tyus Edney at the fairway and ocean view Club 19.  Non-golfers are also encouraged to attend as dinner guests, and take advantage of discounted room rates, spa services at the highly acclaimed Spa Gaucin or the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort’s pools to celebrate Mother’s Day.

Sponsorship opportunities, such as Tee Sign, Hole Host or VIP sponsorships, remain available.  Auction donations are also requested and provide businesses exposure amongst hundreds of successful Bruin alumni and supporters, plus an online bidding community of more than 400,000 bidders.

A waiting list is now being formed for additional golfers; however, spaces remain open for the VIP dinner and auctions on a priority registration basis.  For more information on sponsorship or donation opportunities, or to purchase tickets for our VIP cocktail reception, dinner and auctions, visit UCLAGolfClassic.com.
