UCLA Golf Classic Nears Sellout - Reserve Today and Golf With Bruin VIPS May 4

Across the Southland, Bruin supporters and golf enthusiasts are reserving their spaces at the UCLA Golf Classic. The May 4 benefit tournament is less than a month away and approaching another sellout.

Offering even greater incentive to participate in the 2009 event, the UCLA Golf Classic Executive Committee has just announced the addition of several Bruin VIPs, who will join Head Football Coach Rick Neuheisel, including former well-known athletes Danny Farmer, Wayne Cook, James Washington and Tracy Murray, among many others.

The UCLA Golf Classic will take place at the Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club and feature a challenging tournament, networking cocktail hour with the UCLA Spirit Squad, benefit dinner and silent and live auctions. Live auction items currently include a VIP seating package and two tickets to a UCLA Pac-10 men’s basketball game with access to the pre-game champagne brunch, two highly sought-after courtside seats at a men’s basketball game, an exclusive Rose Bowl experience package with four premium seats on the 40 yard-line and much more.

Now in its ninth consecutive year, the UCLA Golf Classic is the largest and most anticipated Bruin fundraiser in Orange County. Benefiting the UCLA Alumni Association’s Scholarship Program, the UCLA Fund and The Wooden Athletic Fund, this standout event supports the scholars and athletes of today and the campus of tomorrow.

In its history, the UCLA Golf Classic has raised over $270,000, while drawing such former coaches and recognized athletes as: Terry Donahue, Dan Guerrero, Eric Karros, Cade NcNown, Tom Ramsey, Wayne Cook, Al Scates, Lynn Shackelford and Matt Stevens.
